If you choose to contact the CAPS office by email, please be aware that email is not a secure medium and that others may be able to read your message and any replies made to it.

We discourage people from using email to communicate with us about personal problems. Email is not a secure or confidential medium; others may be able to read your message and any reply. In addition, we find email communications are less useful than in-depth, face-to-face contact. We cannot guarantee that your message will be read right away or that we will be able to respond in a timely manner. Do not use email for crises or emergency situations.

Email correspondence is checked periodically Monday through Friday as we are able, during normal business hours. It is not intended to be used for crises, nor for emergency situations.

If you have a complaint or concern regarding your experience with CAPS, we encourage you to discuss it with your therapist. Our experience suggests that these conversations can be a valuable opportunity to problem solve grievances and come to a solution.

If you want to pursue your concern further, please email caps@seattleu.edu and request to contact CAPS Interim Associate Director, Lori Koshork, the Assistant Vice Provost for Counseling, Health, and Wellness, Dr. Tara Hicks, or Dean of Students, Dr. anton ward-zanotto.
